Kim works mainly with Harakeke -
New Zealand Flax, Pingao, Kuta and Kie Kie, which she gathers from
“magic spots“ in Golden Bay.
Her work is quite experimental. “I like
doing things that are a little bit different - cushions, wine bottle
and cellphone covers. Te Awhi Rito Hou is about keeping the traditions
alive - and having a lot of fun with good friends.”
