Galit Maxwell has painted since the age of one, whenever she hasn't been traveling. Her early paintings reflect memories of her travels. Nowadays, her main focus is on semi-abstract works, using human figures.

GALIT'S BACKGROUND

Born in Israel in 1971.
Studied oil painting with Israeli painter, David Caftori, Tel Aviv 1992.
Studied ceramics at the University of Westminster, London 1998.
Galit came to live in Takaka in 2000.
Started her studio "Galia" for functional and decorative ceramics and semi-abstract oil and acrylic paintings in 2000.
