"I have always been fascinated by plants and the structure of textiles - and making baskets is the perfect combination of these two interests. The activity of seeking and gathering weaving materials is one of discovery and delight.

I work predominately with Harakeke Flax (Phormium tenax), a plant native to New Zealand. It is a fabulous fibre - long, strong and sweet smelling. I seek to make articles that are both functional and beautiful.

“Entwined” refers not only to the twining method used, but also to a merging of cultures, techniques and materials."
